Telehealth Psychotherapy from the comfort of your own home.

Welcome

Do you ever ask yourself, "Why is (fill the blank) like this?!" The quest for clarity and peace invites many to try to understand self, others, and our world.  name is Kristy Barrette (she/her). I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist on the California Central Coast. I am based in South San Luis Obispo County, and my practice is 100% telehealth/virtual.  I welcome you to my practice. As a clinician, I believe that you have the ability to grow, learn, and better understand yourself and your loved ones. With this understanding, you can create meaningful changes that align with your needs and values. My role is to walk alongside you to help pave the way to more meaningful connections, more effective communication, healthier boundaries, increased safety, and an overall greater sense of well-being.

Focus of My Practice

My practice focuses on supporting adolescents, young adults, adults, and families dealing with a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, identity exploration, gender identity/exploration, trauma processing, neurodivergence, life transitions, relationship issues, stress, parent-child conflict, parenting support, and other mental health needs.

I strive to be affirming to all identities and areas of diversity, such as gender, race, sexual orientation, ability, body diversity, and neurodiversity. I enjoy working with LGBTQIA+, Non-Binary, and Trans clients and their families, as well as individuals who may be exploring their multiple and intersecting identities. I bring compassion, humor, and real talk about how your lived experience interacts with our world. I'd love to hear from you.I'd love to hear from you.
